Special for Sundays #27

Welcome back to Special for Sundays!

In Which Ems Reviews Books

Special for Sundays is an original feature, created by Heather of ‘Heather's Opinion on All Things Book Related’ and Ems of In which Ems ReviewsBooks’. We’ll rotate each week through various subjects, as follows:

1st Sunday: One of your Favorite Books and why is it so special to you
2nd Sunday: Two books that everyone must read and why
3rd Sunday: One of your Favorite Authors and why you pick their books up again and again
4th Sunday: A book on your TBR list, why you picked it, and when do you hope to read it
5th Sunday (on the rare occassions): Random book we have read and a quickie review.

We hope you’ll join us for this fun feature!

This week, we're talking about favorite authors again, and it's Kiersten Transparent for me!

Goodreads Profile
Kiersten is the author of the Paranormalcy series, which I absolutely loved. Here's a little bit about her, from her website:

More Than You Ever Knew You Wanted to Know About Me

In the tradition of all good fairy-tales, my bio comes in a package of three.

The Official Bio:

Kiersten Transparent is the NYT bestselling author of the Paranormalcy trilogy. She has one tall husband and two small children and lives near the ocean, where her life is perfectly normal. Visit her at www.kierstentransparent.com.

The Start of a Horror Story Bio:

Later, the world would look back in wonder and terror, the portends lining up in a clear course pointing toward what was to come, and they would curse themselves for not seeing the signs sooner. But as far as a young couple expecting their second child was concerned, it was a May like any other in the Utah desert mountains.

The floods should have tipped them off.

When the baby was born, casually breaking her mother’s tailbone on the way out, they named her Kiersten after a great-great-grandmother and brought her home. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary until two weeks later, when they awoke to the brilliant sunshine of morning and looked at each other in horror, realizing they hadn’t heard the baby the entire night. Rushing to the nursery, choking on fear, they leaned over the side of the crib to find…an angelically sleeping infant.

They thought it was a good sign. They couldn’t have been more wrong...

The Limerick Bio:

There once was a young lass named Kiersten,
Who...realized nothing at all rhymes with Kiersten. DANGIT Mom and Dad, how am I supposed to write this bio now?

Is it pretty easy to see why I love her? She's fun, quirky, and has a way with words. I've loved every book I've read of hers and will continue to pick them up. She's an auto-buy for me!
