This week's question:What started you blogging?
Well, my cousin Ashley started talking about starting a book blog, and since we share an absolute love of books, I thought it would be fun to do one too. We tend to like different books, so we felt okay about both of us having our own blog.
It's awesome, because I don't really have much in the way of real life chances to talk about books (except for Ashley, but we don't see each other much anymore because of work and school commitments) and I LOVE talking about books. I love sharing the ones I've read and I always hope that someone will pick one up because I mentioned it on my blog.
It's hard work. I've put a ton of effort into it, especially this year, and sometimes I wonder if I've touched even a single person. But then I'll get a message or comment or Tweet and someone will say they loved a book I was pushing. That makes my day! It's what keeps me going and is a great reminder that, as a whole, the blogging community is fantastic. I love the friends I've made through blogging and look forward to meeting many more!
