Authors Are Our Celebrities: Have you ever contacted
an author you admired? How did that experience go? If not, which author would you love to have a chat with?

For me, getting to meet Brandon Mull was epic. I've loved his books (Fablehaven, Beyonders, Candy Shop War) since I read them the first time and have loved them even more with each reread. The best part about meeting him was the fact that he stayed at the signing until every single fan had a chance to meet him and get their books signed. This event went for over 7 hours (I was there from start to finish) and he was just as awesome and gracious at the end as he was at the beginning. When I finally got my turn to meet him, he signed all my books, answered questions, asked me some questions, and posed for pictures. Oh, and I totally got a big hug from him. WAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! Yep, major fangirl moment there.
There are so many other authors I've had the chance to meet and/or interact with on Facebook/Twitter/blogs. I can't think of a single one that doesn't give me that moment of squee. I adore authors!
